I loved the other books in this series and I do really like this one too. But after about 85% I was like...huh?
The banter between Fate and Blythe was đ„. They way they both loathed each other đ. But then suddenly they're obsessed with each other and give "fated mate" and "would die for you" vibes. This would be expected but it was so abrupt and brushed past within the story that it felt like I had missed a few chapters.
We had most of the book as the build up banter, and I couldn't wait for the switch, and I just knew it was going to be like an explosion between them! It was not. No explosion. It was like the next chapter they just....were. Obsessively in love as dramatic events start happening in the story. Huh? Wait, where did that come from? *cue me flipping back a chapter or two to re-read to make sure I didn't miss some pages of the book or something*
I needed to read at least a few chapters of Fate and Blythe actually being into each other.
The ending: đ„č but also đ«€ and đ€. The ending was slightly eh for me.
I still love this series and recommend it to everyone who will listen!

This is for sure my favorite book in this series! Getting a book from the perspective of Blythe is something I didnât know that I needed. I loved all of the tension that we got between Blythe and Aris, it was utterly delectable.
Watching the unravelling of who Blythe is as the story progressed was so entrancing howeverâŠI was a touch frustrated with her for not talking about it with anyone for the longest time. Otherwise, the character dynamics in this book were the best theyâve been in the series!
I thought that the book got a bit weird after part two and while it made sense why it did that, I wasnât the biggest fan of it. I did enjoy that we got to see a lot more of Signa and Sylas as the story continued! Seeing their romance deepen was very nice!
Overall, if youâre looking for a series thatâs a little out of the ordinary for the young adult genre, this could be the series for you!
