It became too philosophical. And I cannot look beyond the inconsistencies in the story. Like wouldn't fate know what choices the person is making? And isn't Fate responsible for those choices. And this probably explained later on but I couldn't care less

The final part of the Belladonna trilogy, and unexpectedly, my favourite. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the shift to Blythe as the main character, but she grew on me quickly. The series as a whole has been such a pleasant surprise - a bit gothic, a bit romantic, a bit of a mystery, and just the right touch of the fantastical. A really enjoyable ending to a series that kept getting better.
4.25/5 ⭐

The first two books in this series were just fine. I enjoyed them enough to want to read the whole series and I had heard this one was the best of the three. It was definitely my favorite and I’m between a 4 and 4.5 star rating. My only problems are the world building (I wanted more about all of these deities and how it really worked) and the ending was lackluster (I feel like I would have been more satisfied with a redemption arc of that one zombie - I mean, that’s what he was, right?!). Ok, I have a third problem… why could we not get more than two seconds of them in the Epilogue?!?? How did he make it back? I need answers.
