Good book, good story. Didn't love the ending, so it only gets 3 stars from me.

I read this after seeing a glowing review by the woman who wrote Gone Girl. I liked it, but I didn't feel quite the same way as Gillian Flynn.

I really enjoyed it, considering I hadn't ever heard of this author before. May have to look into reading some more of his stuff.

A man wakes up naked in the ocean with no memory of who he is or why he's there. Finding a car that appears to be his, he goes to a hotel, only to find cops after him. So who is he and what has he done? It's an interesting premise, kind of like a more every man version of the Bourne Identity. I really enjoyed it and found it hard to put down. Full of twists, it's suspenseful and well paced. I highly recommend it.

Good thriller... not quite as good as all the reviews are saying but not bad.

This book's implausibilities make very difficult to carry on reading. Examples? The protagonist, after surviving a near fatal spell naked in the cold Atlantic, never once registers thirst. Even worse, a Directory Assistance call in search of someone in Los Angeles with the fairly ordinary name of Daniel Hayes returns only one result. Actually there are over 200 by that name in LA. I quit this lousy read on page 16.

Really enjoyed this. Like his other books - just enough plot twists to keep you guessing

This would make a really, really fun movie--one that I hope gets made. But as a book, well...my standards are a lot higher for books. The plot is quite a stretch, and the writing's crap. So, you know.
