I would have like a little more plot, every chapter was a little over the top romance wise. Too gooey sweet.

Super sweet romance about a middle age couple that I could totally relate to on so many levels. Patrick is an amazing drool worthy suitor for Mary. He knows how to make her feel like she counts, that she is his everything. One of the best HEA's I have read this year. When she has doubts he makes sure to show her that they are on the right path. Honesty is everything with them and it works.

Mary and Patrick's story was adorable and heartwarming. My only complaint about it was we never see their lives mesh together. So much is made about how different their lives are due to their locations and social/wealth differences. I'd like to have seen how their relationship withstood Mary moving to NYC and Patrick returning to his job. They're great when his attention is all on her, but as the mogul of his own company I'm betting he puts in long hours. And for someone who is used to small town life in Vermont, surrounded by people she knows, I can imagine Mary feeling way out of her element and alone in NYC. Maybe future books will explore this slightly, but I'd like to have seen them work through those difficulties. Their story would have felt more rewarding to me.

It's not often that I read romances about an older couple like Mary and Patrick mostly just because they're the age where they're old enough to be my parents and that's always felt a little weird to me, but I didn't hesitate at all when it came to deciding to read Can't Buy Me Love because I have come to consider Marie Force as one of my authors for awhile now and I'll read anything she writes. And I'm so glad that I didn't let their age hold me back because I absolutely adored this book! I couldn't have had a better reading it than I did - it was just so wonderful!

Patrick calls Mary his "Sweet Mary from Vermont" and I have to say that is the perfect nickname for her because she's as sweet as apple pie (or whatever pie it's supposed to be). Mary is gentle, down-to-earth and soft. She's so kind-hearted and just one of those genuine good people. Mary can be a feist though or at least she definitely teases Patrick and keeps it real with him. I loved Mary - she is just lovely!

And Patrick, oh, he is just the sweetest thing too! It is so obvious the way he feels about Mary and you never have to doubt that she means everything to him. He is amazing with and to her in so many ways. Patrick will absolutely steal your heart, melt it, and make you love him!

Patrick and Mary were an utterly too cute couple. They made laugh and smile so much - Can't Buy Me Love was truly a joy to read. It's not high on angst or drama; it's sweet, sexy, completely fun and I couldn't get enough. I wholeheartedly loved reading this book and I can't wait for more to come!

Can't Buy Me Love can be read as a standalone, it's told from Patrick and Mary's POV, and they get their happily-ever-after.

I really enjoyed Can't Buy Me Love. The second in the renamed Butler, Vermont Series. This one featuring Camerons dad and billionaire Patrick and Green Mountain Office Manger and longtime friend of the Abbott family Mary.

As it was sweet, fun, and had a real lightheartedness about it. Even though it did have me shedding a tear or two. Not to mention it was full of heat, and was a really lovely believable romance. That I could happily have read more off and it did keep me completely hooked from start to finish.

I would therefore happily recommend this story to others. Especially anyone who is a fan of this series or author.

I have been meaning to finish this series and I finally took the leap. I really enjoyed the first book, and I love older characters so this book wasn’t a shock because of their age.

I really enjoyed the falling part of love with these two. It was sweet and I wanted them to have their HEA seems to me they both waited long enough for it.

Also the fact that Fred the Moose made an appearance well it was perfection.

I really enjoy Joan Delaware’s voice so more please!

Marie did it again. An amazing, short and sweet romance. Loved everything about this story, which is surprising to me, since it's the type of romance I try to stay away from, and by that I mean a hero or heroine that was happily married and the spouse died. With it being 30 years since Patrick's wife died, it didn't bother me as much. I loved getting to read their romance.

I also loved how it was kind of a behind the scenes look at some of the previous books in the series. Another thing I loved was there wasn't much drama; everything was smooth sailing and it worked for the shorter length of the book.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this story and I'm so glad I did! I enjoy all of Marie Force's novels and this one did not disappoint. I loved getting to know Mary and Patrick, Cameron's dad, more in this story. As a couple they fit seamlessly and perfectly. This story is full of humor, love, and the characters we all fell in love with (including Fred). I encourage everyone to read this story! It's a story that shows you that it's never too late to find that special someone and when you do things will work themselves out. Thank you, once again, Mrs. Force for providing us with an amazing story.

Oh how I loved reading Mary and Patrick’s story! Mary has always been one of my favourite characters in the Green Mountain series and I was so happy she finally got her own.

Mary is such a sweet woman who helps look after the Green Mountain Country Store in Butler, Vermont. Throughout her life, she has always concentrated on her life rather than her love life.

Patrick is a billionaire who owns multiple hotels all over the world and is Cameron’s father. He isn’t your typical billionaire who is full of himself. This man is all class! He’s charismatic and so loving he just made me swoon throughout this entire book. I love the way he looks after Mary and spoils her when he can’t be with her all the time. He is very determined to have Mary in his life and takes it upon himself to convince her that he is the one she has been waiting for.

This book had me melting all the way through! Cannot recommend this book and the entire Green Mountain/Butler, Vermont series enough!
