Great way to teach the concept of mixing colors - primary mixing together to make secondary colors.
This was very successful at my color PJ Storytime tonight. The boy picked it up and asked me to read it. He and the girls were really into the story helping me to tell what the colors were and what new color the combinations would create. 1/8/13
The young girl, picked this for her baby sister. It was a little much for her, but the three older children enjoyed it.
Used for my 1/28 Story Time, I had though it tied in nicely with the "Little Mouse" flannel board, but was a little long and much for the toddlers.

Three white mice. Three jars of primary color paint. What more can be said, aside from this is a great story to introduce kids to mixing colors... I assume. Whatever, the mice are adorable, read it for them.
Oddly enough, this is probably one of the only age-appropriate books that I gave to my godson. I have a tendency to give him books that are a little too old for him... Or a lot too old for him. (For his first birthday, I gave him a copy of Edith Hamilton's Mythologies... I consider it a gift made in trust for his future.) Thankfully, he's always been an eager reader and it only spurs him on, rather than discouraging him.

Great concept book to introduce colors to children.
