I cannot recommend this emphatically enough- absolutely wonderful, fascinating story about a young married couple, that give up everything to move to sub-Saharan Africa and study wildlife. Their study was fascinating, but so is the narrative of their marriage, and the remoteness of their lives in the desert. Amazing people.

Inspiring, eyes opening autobiographical book about the true wilderness of Africa and how it needs to be protected from people, by people.

Received this book as a gift because I enjoyed Where The Crawdads Sing so much. Wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s autobiographical and WTCS was... not. It is fascinating though! I learned SO MUCH and found myself getting attached to some of the animals they were studying. Mark & Delia are expert storytellers.
