While I love Tom, it’s not a book that kept my attention. It might be different if I was reading it myself as oppose to audiobook but I’m not interested in picking it up right now.

I wasn’t sure what this would be like, but it was in the library so I thought I’d try it. I’m so glad I did.
There is so much in this book that I didn’t realise that Tom had been through that was quite shocking, and quite revealing. Also a lot that made things make a lot more sense that he’s since done or said in his life.
It was honest and truthful, without being over-emotive. Did it make me cry? Yes, not gratuitously, only when I really felt it.
