A face-paced and easy read that features a powerful, no-nonsense female lead who nonetheless has her own set of relatable vulnerabilities. I feel that many women, especially those of a minority, can relate to Ingrid Yung as she battles for her position in a cutthroat corporate world which neglects diversity or the contributions that intelligent, hard-working women make but are often overlooked and overshadowed.
Graphic: Racial slurs and Racism
Moderate: Classism, Cursing, Misogyny, Sexism, and Toxic relationship
Minor: Sexual content

I wasn't expecting to like a book about lawyers but here I am, just having devoured the realities of being a woman in a male dominated field. So greatly done, and even though I've heard that it's a bit different I will be tuning it to watch the Netflix show
