I feel like I've learned all of this already. Didn't gain much and feel like I was losing interest.
Listen, we know how I feel about Lindy West. We know only a GENIUS could write and then put on TV a thing as beautiful as Shrill. So of course, this book went off. Where Shrill is about fat women’s place in this world, Witches is about creating a world we actually all might wanna be in. From Tr*mp to So*th P*rk to Adam Sandler, we get it all! (She’s wrong about Sandler, though. He’s perfect. But I’ll cut her some slack since this was released before Uncut Gems. She couldn’t have known!!!) More than anything, it’s amazing how much Lindy West’s writing — no matter what it is — cracks me up. And you KNOW how embarrassing it is to LAUGH at a SCREEN in PUBLIC! Now imagine laughing at a Kindle. Come on. I deserve compensation. Anyway, read it!!!

I haven’t laughed out loud reading a book in a long time. So funny, upsetting, and also inspiring. It’s harrowing that it’s only 6 years old and so many horrifying world events have happened since. I wish I had more of her essays!
This book is perfect to those who are liberal feminists. Lindy west described a lot of things in this book in a good humour to which I agree on most things. I only read it because of the book challenge. But I really enjoyed this book and the topics of abortion rights, misogyny, gender equality, women's rights, and the way men in society think of women, and how both genders should work together to eliminate the problems created because of these problems. Alot of insightful topics are included in this book.

listened on audiobook! loved this book of essays — Rebecca Solnit-esque but a little more informal. Hearing them read in Lindy’s voice is captivating
