This book was just what I needed. After reading so many (excellent) books with dark, tragic endings and lots of dying characters, a spooky adventure was just what I needed. And yes, I do see the irony of that.

TUNNEL OF BONES is the second book in the Cassidy Blake series, and is just as fun, sweet, and creepy as its predecessor. I've missed these characters quite a bit, and it was wonderful to join them in a setting I adore. The new adversary was unique and added a fair amount of danger to the story.

The characters continue to be sweet and fun. I continue to deeply enjoy the friendship between Cassidy and Jacob. I was happy to learn more about them and if the ending is anything to go by, am thrilled to see how they encounter the next adventure that will push them to their limits.

While it is a middle grade book and readers will move through it fairly quickly, it's nonetheless the perfect, light read for fall or Halloween. Definitely check it out!

Lovely, age-appropriately spooky middle grade read with a strong sense of place! Really enjoying this series.

Anything Victoria Schwab touches turns to instant magic. This made me want to drive to Paris and watch a ghost show or two. Seriously, if I was allowed to only read one author for the rest of my life it would be Schwab, she never disappoints.

This felt so much shorter than the first one. I think it’s just because there wasn’t as much action. I still enjoyed it though.
