This is definitely an easy predictable summer/beach/vacay read if you need one. I didn't find myself falling in love with the characters but enjoyed the story overall. You may want to avoid if cheating is a sensitive subject for you.

This book was both light-hearted, yet eye opening to the struggles of how to cope with losing someone you love. One moment changed the trajectory of what Sam and Wyatt expected for their future with one another. With Wyatt being unable to cope with what happened, therefore causing him to unintentionally project his anger at the situation onto Sam, it causes this drift between the two of them that irrevocably changes Sam's outlook on life. Fast-forward to the future, you see them address what occurred and see how they come together, despite the hurt and pain the situation caused them both.

I read this book in one day, I didn’t want to put it down. Sam and Wyatt have been in love since they were kids, and now it’s time for a wedding. The only problem is, Sam’s marrying a different man.

I did not enjoy this. I didn’t like Wyatt’s character, or Sam’s, or the fiancées for that matter I found all of these characters, extremely boring and extremely delusional. I refuse to believe that Sam doesn’t have friends that would help change her perspective or at least open up her eyes, this was just a no from me

The premise for this is so up my alley but the dialogue was just not it. Also...Wyatt kind of sucks. He's not a nice or good guy and he feels really possessive. And her fiancé is *comically* wrong for her and he stuck around way too long. We didn't get any time really with the two of them rediscovering each other.
Also, why was the dual timelines for only in part one? Bizarre and made the pace wonky.
I did like her relationship with her family and the community. I think that was well done and relatable. I wish we got more time with Grace but I get it, kind of. I think the balance of who her time was spent with was off but oh well.
Very nitpicky but also what...is her job. It's not HR. And a flash mob? In the year of our lord Ken 2023 her clients were excited about a FLASH MOB? No. She should have been nearly fired because the clients hated it not because of her cartoonish villain boss.
How H O W would she not know the song was about her? There'  no way he didn't sing snippets around her. Like...we could have had moments in her head of her wondering or hoping or SOMETHING.

This is also just an audiobook thing, but the narrators were both great and we got SO little time with Wyatt so we heard so little of his narrator. I think a duet narration would have been really good for this one.
