This was probably the most graphic one so far, but still it’s my favorite the plot movers and we got to see different sides of characters we haven’t seen much of. Check the trigger warning!!!!!
Moderate: Sexual assault and Sexual violence

The last volume was pretty stale but Kirkman certainly shakes it up with this one! This volume gets darker than previous ones when the group faces off against the living instead of the undead. I've said it before but the exploration of humanity - how far it takes you, how dark you can be, etc. - is really the best part about this series. It ends with the fate of several characters hanging in the balance and I'm eager to see how it plays out.
The female characters leave a lot to be desired. They're incredibly one-dimensional and don't contribute much to the story overall. I'd like to see more fire from the ladies and, with the exception of Michonne, it hasn't really happened. I see potential in both Maggie and Andrea but even they, at times, are hindered by these strangely motivated moments of weakness that seem to suggest women are too easily fraught with emotion for a dying world. I've pretty much given up on Lori and Carol. You almost have to pause to wonder if Kirkman is suggesting women to be more burden than they're worth... ? I'm just not totally getting his angle here. I know others have pointed this out, but it truly is the biggest flaw in the series so far.

Shit just got dark.
An odd thought, given the overall plot of the series. But...yeah, this one's pretty intensely dark. And not a little over the top, though honestly, I can see people acting like this in the event of a zombapocalypse. I can actually think of quite a few people who would be more than happy to take the roll of Governor.
