Well the Governor is even worse than he is in the show so that’s not scary at all...this was such a great/terrifying volume.
BUT I agree with everyone else that says Robert Kirkman hates women and can’t write a good female character to save his life.

This was a disturbing installment. Very disturbing. I mean, I've watched the show, so I knew about the bad guy, but this was definitely sicker than the show. But still very suspenseful and I definitely want to keep reading.

Okay.... Well, seems like I very much had the same opinion about this installment in the first place. Sick. Disturbing. Uncomfortable. Just.. Nothing for everyone. You have to have very strong nerves to get through this. If you can't handle torture and rape, stay away from this.
The characters weren't that frustrating here. And I'm glad about that. They did what they had to, all of them seem to have calmed down a little. Rick wasn't annoying me. Tyreese wasn't really in it, so he didn't either... But Carol... I still prefer the show's version of her.
I'm picking up the 6th installment right now, and this is the last one I've already read until now. So let's see if I can get to the 7th one today too or if that's only going to happen tomorrow.

From that point onwards it gets really violent and brutal. We have definitely entered the world of the very, very mature reader. Wow. Good though, if you can stomach the violence. Practically makes me quake in my fluffy socks in anxiousness and fright regarding volume 6...

The first 3 issues were really boring, but the latter 3 were awesome.
Love the viciousness of the govenor. it's an awesome storyline, unlike all the boring depressing jail stuff.

This isn't going to be a full review because I can't think of that much that I really want to say about it...
I think this one might be my least favourite so far? I'm still not even sure why? On the one hand I think I wasn't as invested in it as I was with the others but then the more I think about it I actually was? So I'm not sure what happened here to be honest...
There were parts in this one where I felt absolutely terrified for certain characters and it really kept me on the edge of my seat, and there were times when nothing much happened with other characters and it slowed down a little bit for me.
My love for Glenn grows strong everyday, almost as strong as my ever growing hate for Lori, the worlds useless mother.
Michonne is as badass as ever. I bloody LOVE her.
Also uh oh, Ricks in deep deep trouble...

Volume 5 depicts the fallen state of humankind, everything falls apart like it has never before. The most graphic of these graphic novels to date. I was disturbed. It was violent. The physical assaults intensify the horror. I am pretty sure my face was contorted in shock, disgust, anger, and disbelief all at once. I felt uncomfortable reading it. The best way to explain the effect of this graphic novel is to say that my co-worker stopped reading Walking Dead after this volume, because she needed a break. There is a lot to deal with, it is not for everyone. I couldn't put it down either.
Man, apparently there's nothing like a zombie apocalypse to bring out the freaky in people.

The Governer was introduced he is even more crazy in the comic than the show!! I hated him!
