So, I'm gonna get spoilery here (click the blur if you just have to know). The enemies to lovers part was funny (the neighborly pranks they play on each other is a STITCH) and the one tent variation on the one bed trope was amusing and created a great deal of romantic tension.
SpoilerBut getting married less than two weeks after declaring feelings
because that's how you, as a straight-laced young man, decide to soar and fly is just ABSURD. There's a lot of room between stick up your butt and free spirit, my dude.

Honestly, this book had me. I loved David's character from the start of the series. I have loved our dorky, math focused, routine oriented, awkward bean since Madden's book. And I was so excited for him to find love. And for most of the book, until about 80% I was v8bing. This would have been a 3-4 star review for me. Until it wasn't.

For me, I am never a huge fan of a chracter changing their whole entire being to be with someone. And for me, that's what this felt like. It felt like, in order to go along with Isabella's travel blog lifestyle, he gave up everything, including the things that made David, David.

I recognize that for some people, it may have come across exactly as it was probably intended- David learning to live outside of him comfort zone and learning to live spontaneously. But my concern, and biggest frustration with the end of this book is, that Isabella changed nothing to be with this man. He gives up everything, (including a sucessfull CPA business so that he can dedicate all his time to her finances, his house near his very close-knit family, his safe and comfortable space, his order, etc.) while she gets everything she wanted. Additionally, there is absolutely nothing wrong with someone who prefers the comforts of home and likes order. And it felt dismissive to cause that to be the thing that needed changing for their love story to work.

I would have liked to potentially see some of Isabella learning that having roots isn't always a bad thing and them coming to a compromise of some sorts.

I really liked this book. I laughed out loud several times while listening to it. It was a nice light-hearted story and the characters felt a little bit more real than the other books in the series. All in all would highly recommend.

give up everything to fly to a new country and tell a girl to marry her even though you had one date, only actually spent time with her for one month ? Realistic, probably not. Did I eat it up, yes yes I did!!

It isn't my favorite of the author but I still enjoyed it!
funny lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

When I want a wholesome, clean (but a few curse words and innuendos thrown in to make it feel more realistic) read, this series hits the spot. As soon as the author shared that David was an enneagram 5 on Instagram, I knew I'd love him. All the Windell's are great, but David is me, in male form, if I could do basic math and had a secret real estate empire. Everything else though? I feel you, David... so much. Cute story, cute characters, cute HEA, cute, cute, cute.

David and I have something in common: we are both accountants. I am not as neurotic as he is, but I understand his tendencies. It was fun to see a character who had the same profession as I do! And it was sweet to see the obvious chemistry that both Isabella and David were fighting. You could feel the chemistry every time they interacted. And I was pleasantly surprised of how supportive and accepting his parents were of Isabella. His mom was not great about Odette, but by this book, she's much more accepting. I loved the coincidence of David and Isa being on the same trip. I sort of wish there had been a bit more competition from Chris but ultimately, I loved the book. Can't wait for Brooks' story!
