It's always inspiring to a read a book that lays out how yes, you can do that thing you want to do even though you're old and this is one of those books! I heard Roberts on a podcast where he explained that this book came out of a partnership with a friend who'd learned a lot of languages as part of a government career but didn't understand why he was having so much trouble learning Korean. Had he just gotten too old? No, Roberts discovered.

The book looks at the way that people learn and the advantages that adults have in learning a new language. More specifically, it also talks about how they can use those advantages since we're so often told that life experience gets in the way of language learning.

If you're thinking of learning a new language, grab this easy read. lots of good tips and hints, recommended for fans of thinking fast and slow as it really goes into cognitive science.
