What I loved
What a strong first volume! I really dug the art, the characters, and the plot. I was intrigued. And horrified. And sitting on the edge of my seat by the end of it. Definitely picking up the second volume ASAP!

I wish I would’ve picked this up when it came out originally but picking it up now, I can fully see why it is as hyped as it is. It has the mystery, the intrigue, the gore, the monsters, etc. Truly, this would be an amazing animated series! A big recommendation if you’re looking for a dark and bloody story.

Really good first volume to an intriguing horror story. It plays with some familiar tropes but everything is intriguing enough to make them all work. Super into this series and I'm glad the first 3 volumes are on ComiXology unlimited because I'll be moving on to volume 2 right away!

The story was gripping but the art layout was tough because it switches between on page and two page spread wveryfew pages without any indication of how to read the page so things get confusing and muddled. I had to reread frequently which was anointing. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
