I first read this book back in 2015!

Second time around, I listened to this story through audiobook (10th-11th October 2019)

“It’s funny. I used to look up at the stars and feel so small and unimportant. But I’ve come to realize that the only thing that can ever make you feel alive and important is the one person who takes you for you.”

I loved visiting Lexi and Austin again <3

They are close to being one of my favourite couples out of all of Tillie Cole’s characters.... Maddie and Flame will always be my number 1!!!

Why the war paint, Pix?
Because I can't stand the girl underneath....
"Why the tattoos ?"
Because I can't bear seeing the scars of my past.

Both Lexi and Austin are going through there own battles/struggles.

This story in particular focuses on anorexia nervosa. I learnt a lot about this condition and can’t imagine what that would be like to suffer from but, I admire and have a huge amount of respect for ANYONE who has/is suffering from this.

Tillie, thank you for sharing your battle with me <3

Just beautiful and inspiring.

Now onto Sweet Hope! (Re-read) before FINALLY getting onto Sweet Soul.

FIVE "falling" stars!!

this book is heartbreaking and gut-wrenching. The back stories these characters had to go through, the lives they've had to live. I just love when two damaged souls find each other and possibly save each other. I love Tillie Cole. I love her stories. I do wish I would have re-read [b:Sweet Home|18105011|Sweet Home (Sweet Home, #1)|Tillie Cole|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1376473414s/18105011.jpg|25423841] or [b:Sweet Rome|20653654|Sweet Rome (Sweet Home, #2)|Tillie Cole|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1391040867s/20653654.jpg|26654494] because I almost forgot about their story.

“Two shooting stars that burned out too quickly, never quite reaching each other’s skies.”

description

"She concealed her tears but shared her smiles"

This sentence alone brought tears to my eyes. I just know how it feels to pretend and act like you are happy but inside feeling like there is no way out. Such a powerful sentence that means so much. I will probably get it tattood some day.

Both Lexi and Austin were tortured souls, that were struggling under so much stress. Both hiding, Lexi behind her dark make-up and Austin behind his tattoos. It was a long and hard road for them, and the HEA didn't come easy. Both were on the edge of the cliff and falling, I was thankful that they found their way back to each other. They started healing each other, which was very emotional.

"Why the war paint, Pix? Because I can't stand the girl underneath" "Why the tattoos? Because I can't bear seeing the scars of my past."

I liked that this book wasn't insta-love. Lexi was terrified of Austin because of something that happened. Eventually they got to know each other and opened up more than they ever did to anyone else. I loved the ending of the book even though they had to hit rock bottom before realising that they needed help and couldn't do anything on their own.

Tillie is an amazing writer, and keeps surprising me each book. She is an insta-buy author for me and I cant wait to read more of her books.

Lexi and Austin’s story seemed like tragedy from the beginning. However, the end was tragically beautiful. Everything had to happen for things to fall into place.
