I found Shadow and Bone a really slow and difficult read... so much to the point where Siege and Storm was sitting on my bookshelf for months and I truly thought I was never going to complete this series. However, I am soooo glad I read this book because I love it!!!! This book got me out of a major reading slump and I enjoyed every page of this book. I love the characters in the book as well as <the difficulties that mal and alina faced in their relationship, despite it making me cry at times lol> Nikolais character was such a lovely addition to this story and I hope to see him more in future books. This book changed my opinion on the Grishaverse and now I plan to read all seven(?) books in the Grishaverse.
