I’m listening to it on “The Sleepy Bookshelf” podcast and have no idea what’s going on because I keep falling asleep, which is the point!

I really wanted to like this book, but the pace was just SO slow. Tbf I did grow to like some of the characters as the book went on. Fyi don't get too invested if you (like me!) don't appreciate an ambiguous ending. Also Charlotte Bronte just doesn't weigh up to her sister Emily... 👀 read Wuthering Heights instead

how slow, how aggravating, how long this book is - yet it made me smile and that ending nearly bumped it to four stars. it creeps into your heart slowly, this one
