What's not to love about a comic book reading 10 year old and a super hero squirrel? This juvenile book is charming to say the least and deals with big ideas about parents being divorced and feelings of being discarded.

A sweet story about a girl and her superhero pet squirrel, Ulysses. Did well on tackling difficult issues many kids deal with - divorce and mothers that don't seem to want their kids.

Silly, sweet, sentimental story about a girl and her super squirrel . Very cute adventure.

Kate DiCamillo never seems to disappoint. We (my kids and I) loved it!

A light fun read aloud for elementary. Lots of laughter from kiddos.

All of the originality and quirk and sweetness that are DiCamillo’s hallmarks. I love how she throws in big juicy words to expand readers’ vocabularies in a fun, non threatening way. And Campbell’s exuberant illustrations take the whole reading experience up a notch.
