Can I please live in this feeling forever? These two are precious and the cutest and the best and I want to hug them both and be their friend.

I'm both sad that it's only a novella and equally happy that this wasn't drawn out and made more complicated than it needed to be. Huge bonus points for both main characters being just... very average queer people with normal, realistic lives.

I love that Anita Kelly's books always feel like a safe queer space.

3.5 stars - a cute, fluffy little queer romance novella. I feel harsh rounding down but for me personally it didn't leave enough of an impact to make it to 4 stars. I'll definitely read others in this series though and would recommend it to others.

Very cute! Non-binary history professor MC in their 40s! And Lilly is fat and makes her own clothes! It was very sweet but I find karaoke absolutely mortifying so yeah I was in hell for half the book. I generally do find contemporaries super embarrassing so it's kind of par for the course but...ack.
