This was one of my first NB novels and I truly enjoyed it. Sam is quiet and shy while Ellie is a little more outgoing and willing to bust through barriers. The two meet at karaoke and learn they've been watching each other for awhile. Ellie is incredibly empathetic and caring about approaching Sam during spicy time and others, making them clothing and asking the right questions. Sam appreciates Ellie in a way she's not had before and the two click well. This was a sweet, somewhat spicy novella with great representation.

Likeable characters but poorly written. Switches POV without warning several times.

this was an adorably sweet, spicy, and surprisingly deep romance for a novella! i loved how deeply i was able to get to know the characters in such a short time, and my only complaint is that i would like to continue watching their relationship bloom. incredible fat rep, figuring out what non-binary means to you and how to navigate that in your fashion, career, life, etc. i really enjoyed this novella and can’t wait to read the rest!

this was fun. i was surprised how much character development there was for such a short time. and i appreciated the atypical portrayal of queerness and love and all those things. not falling into tropes about nonbinary people or fat people and just writing real people who are unsure and tentative and make mistakes.

I'm here for this enby - fat girl romance - it's cute and it's real and it's really hot. Super quick read, I devoured it and bought the next story in the series.
