Este volumen me gustó, pero no le doy 5 estrellas solamente porque se está volviendo a creae otro arco argumental, otro “world building” y esas cosas. Sin embargo, hubo escenas muy memorables

This volume was so good!! I’m so happy every time Allen reappears, he is one of my favorite side characters. Mark is having to contend with the fact that the Viltrumites very much have him in their sights AND the developments with his half-brother Oliver. I think the way he interacts with Oliver is so sweet. Also at this point I am agreeing with Mark on if he is failing in his educational life this intensely, it may be a good idea to drop out and come back when things calm down… if they ever do because, y’know, superhero.

Summary:

Mark Grayson has always known he had a better-than-average chance of succeeding with superpowers. After all, his father has them and promised to inherit them someday. This helped prepare Mark for superhero life long before those powers came to be.

Mark has had a lot (some would say too much) on his shoulders lately. So you can imagine his reaction when the Viltrumites raise their heads again. Or rather, one Viltrumite. An agent who thinks she can turn Mark to their side.

Review:

Ohhh boy. Things are heating up again! Invincible Vol. 9 is an action-packed and tense volume, perhaps for different reasons than the past few volumes. It's setting up for something big, and I'm excited and terrified to see where it goes.

First, there's the Viltrumite plot (which is more like two plots running simultaneously). I'm pretty invested in both, though I have no idea how they'll go (this series is good at that). I'm almost afraid to have hope...

The whole Dupli-Kate subplot was pretty interesting, I have to admit. It answered something I've been wondering from the beginning. I still have questions, but what's new?! On the whole, I do love that all the secondary characters/heroes have been getting a chance to grow with the series.

Highlights:
Part of a Series
Superhero Teen
Coming of Age with a Twist
Now an Amazon TV Series

The Viltrumites return to earth to look into Invincible’s allegiance. This is a transitional volume that sets up plot threads that will resolve in the future. Still Kirkman consistently delivers a more realistic superhero story than any other franchise.

I like Allen so much as a character, but even with that, the slow build up is almost nerve wrecking.
