The Veiled Kingdom
By Holly Renee

The Veiled Kingdom is the first book in the Veiled Kingdom Series.
You first meet Nyra, Daughter of the King, who is hiding in the streets of her city. The guards are looking for her. But she must lay low until tithe and she can run away on a boat. But soon she is caught and put in a dungeon, only to be saved by the rebellion leader's son,Dacre. Now Nyra must hide who she is not just from her Father but the rebel group that has saved her. Can she hide who she is from everyone around her?

The Veiled Kingdom is a fun spicy fantasy. I love the banter between Nyra and Dacre.
There is suspense and tension.

I rate The Veiled Kingdom 4.5/5 stars. I would recommend The Veiled Kingdom to anyone who loves fantasy.

Dacre. That’s it.

But really…that ending?! I immediately started book 2 because I was not prepared.

Anyway, I love the “lost princess” trope but this had an interesting twist to it! I love how fast-paced the book is, and it kept me engaged throughout. The physical chemistry between Nyra and Dacre was palpable.

I do wish there was a bit more world-building. I’m still a bit confused about the magic system—how it’s used, what types of magic there are, are there different levels of magic? Overall, I really enjoyed this book!
