I devoured this book! Let’s just say I need my hands on the second one now. The characters built up was great, the shattering of their love and hopes.
At first I almost didn’t want to read it because it felt soo similar to powerless and I read that recently, but I persevered and it ended up being pretty good. I’m so close to giving it three starts for the ending though.

It’s what I would call a “beach read” romantasy version. It’s not amazing but not awful. Writing is decent but there’s not much development and the story felt like it could have had more detail.
why did this feel like a short rushed version of fourth wing/iron flame (w/ no dragons obvi but plot wise). it wasn’t a boring read but i felt like i was literally reading a cut and paste bad version of fourth wing

Seriously devoured this story. I am obsessed! Definitely helped get me out of my reading slump after Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I cannot wait to see how the story develops!
