I would have given it four stars, but it was like I'd read this story before.
It’s fun, humorous, sexy and heartwarming story. It will suck you in from the beginning with its funny and entertaining moments. It has characters you will love. I loved the connection, banter and chemistry between the characters. It’s sizzling and steamy. An enjoyable and entertaining story. Looking forward to reading more. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Pretty good overall!
I liked the different complexities of the book. Not too complicated, not too boring.
Both Emerson and Alex were fun and had a really cute love story.

Very cute predictable romance book which is exactly what I was hoping for. The characters have cute banter, aside from some grammatical and spelling errors it was an easy read that had me giggling and smiling along with the story.
This is the first book to kick off Katie McCoy's new series. I can tell you I'm already hooked! One of my favorite things is the humor. Emerson and Alex were great together. They had a lot of chemistry. Emerson is so good for Alex. She needs balance with her professional life and personal life. I really can't wait for more from this series!
hopeful
This is a fun, entertaining read. Emerson and Alex are interesting, relatable, complex, intriguing, wounded, strong, smart, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their romance and the path it took to get to their HEA. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. The story is easy to read and get into.

Goes down as another off my 2018 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A contemporary romance. Another fun, hot start to another series I’m sure to love as much as the others. These guys are about to stir things up with their new bar. Rascals by name, rascal by nature I feel.
Alex and Emerson had a very serendipity feel to them getting together right from the get go. She bails on a friend to go out to meet new people – well aunt flo was visiting at the time – only to bump into the hottest guy she’d seen in Chicago in a while. Once is a chance encounter, twice might be heating things up (well getting stuck in a banks ATM when power goes out might do that, heat rises as soon as the lights go out) but three times is calling it fate. The third being when Alex wakes earlier than expected on a weekend due to construction work going on below her flat. She gets quite a shock (though in all honesty a very nice surprise) when the boss/owner is none other than her dream guy from the night before.
Fate it seems will not be denied when it comes to these two. No matter how hard they try to tell themselves that they are not looking for something, or someone, due to being too focused on their careers. It doesn’t take too long for the chemistry to take the lead. Sparks fly from the get go so you know it will be hot when they finally give in. Let’s just say the way he gets her to agree to go out on a date with him is after one hell of a pick me up.
It might be smooth sailing for a while but you know choppy waters are soon to follow when you have family issues not being addressed. Tensions building fast and just when you think you have someone on your side they can throw you a curve ball. Well you may think they have but these two just need their heads banging together quite frankly. Both saying and doing/not doing things they didn’t mean to. Stubborn natures the pair of them but thankfully they have good people around them to do the head banging for us.
They are such a cute couple in public but behind closed doors fan me down they get hot. That office of his sure gets its use. Handy with her apartment just upstairs too! It started with a spark that grew into an inferno. Lets just hope it doesn’t burn out.
Side characters were a lot of fun throughout too and nicely linked to set up their own stories with all the guys. Chase and Kelsey’s story is going to be interesting I’m sure. Another chill out read where you get a lot of spice thrown in for good measure. On to the next I say.
I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest review.

Nada memorable, a decir verdad.

What a meet cute. If only that really happens.
This story, while it was a cute love story, did more to lay the ground work for the series then it did focus on Alex and Emerson (can I say Emerson is an amazing name).
I loved that they took it somewhat slow (even if it was like a week and a half before the I love Yous). Again I think this was more laying the ground work for the series and I can't wait to read the love stories of the rest of the gang.
I volunteered to read an advance copy.
