Engano meu.

WOW!! What an AWESOME psychological thriller book! I could not put it down! Literally, on the edge of my seat the entire time. Is what's happening really happening? Or is the main character strung out on alcohol and meds? Just when I thought I figured it out the story takes another twist! I did not see the big twist coming at the very end. Best ending! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"The Woman in the Window" offers a unique perspective on agoraphobia through the lens of an unreliable narrator, a concept I found intriguing as a former psychiatric mental health nurse. The portrayal of the professional becoming the patient was well-executed for the most part. However, the pacing dragged significantly, making it a slow burn that tested my patience.
While the plot twists themselves were well-crafted, the long stretches between them felt like miles of wading through molasses. Additionally, the constant presence of the main character's intoxicated state became a turn-off. It would have been more impactful to explore her struggles without relying so heavily on alcohol as a crutch.
Overall, "The Woman in the Window" had the potential to be a suspenseful thriller, but the slow pacing and excessive focus on intoxication hindered my enjoyment.

I’m between 3.5 and 4 stars and I’m rounding up.

We meet Anna, an agoraphobic alcoholic who is struggling to tell reality from fiction. I’ve read many thrillers with unreliable narrators before, but I think this one was done well.

A thrilling read with tons of unexpected twists and turns. I was kept guessing until the end of the novel. Unlike many thrillers, I was satisfied with the ending and felt all plot lines were tied up neatly. Would recommend!
