I really enjoyed reading more about Maisie after her escape in Heart of the Raven Prince. I love how these are standalones but there’s enough crossover that you feel like you know the characters going into the book.

Once again Tessonja Odette wrote loveable (if not morally questionable) MCs, boisterous side characters and magic woven into my favorite tropes.

KISS of the Selkie follows Maisie who’s been found be y the Sea Witch and forced into a bargain to kill Dorian with her fatal kiss. Dorian’s hosting a “bachelor-esque” competition for marriage so he can stay on the isle. Maisies such a fun character to read. She’s cagey and uncertain which makes her reaction everything around her and remain open to new ideas. I liked seeing her find herself and the truth and make decisions for herself to take back control of her life.
