This was super cute and so fun to read! Probably my favorite of the series so far.

I loved how it was Little Mermaid meets the bachelor and the way each character was represented in the retelling.

Sometimes these Princess retellings can be pretty predictable or follow the same format as all the other retellings, but these have been such unique takes/spins without losing the feeling/overall plot of the original!

They’re different enough to be their own story, but you still know exactly which story is being told. And the way she’s crafted them all in the same world and slightly overlapping? Amazing. I can’t wait to get into the next two books, since those are less common retellings!

I fell in love with this story faster than Maisie and Dorian fell in love

This book (as all the others in this series) feels like that fluffy, happy, calm and loving feeling you get from movies like Ella Enchanted or Ever After... I read this with a constant smile on my face with either laughing out loud or having that "aaah awkward" grimace/smile as mild second hand embarrassement, but feeling everything soo wholeheartedly. It is such a lovely comfort read, where you just love everyone, every conversation, every small movement they do.
I could read Tessonja writing characters simply interacting with one another for the rest of my life and I would feel content.

I think I’ve read too many books of this genre. They’re all starting to feel the same. This was alright. The beginning was pretty good, but the last several chapters were VERY mediocre. They also said they loved each other after like a week of knowing each other, but whatever.

I think this is one of my new favorite series! I’m such a sucker for fairy tale retellings, and the entangled with fae series just does them so much justice! I think out of the three I’ve read, Maisie and Dorian are my new favorite. The battle between survival, your morals, and your heart was an amazing mixture of story. I loved that Maisie wasn’t your average princess, but so quirky it comes off cringy ‘I’m not like other girls’  vibes. I liked that both her and Dorian came from different backgrounds, and had to overcome their pasts and the roadblocks brought on by their families to be together. And I also just love an aloof but secret softy male love interest. ALSO It was interesting that this book was written entirely from Maisie’s pov, and not Dorian’s at all! Which was kind of nice, because it keeps you guessing how he’s feeling about her, warm then cold then warm again, and what sort of internal thoughts be might be having. And of course… how could anyone hate Podaxis? I love that little guy and I loved this installment of the series!
