Maisie and Dorian were adorable, once they got to know each other the slightest bit. I loved reading Heart of the Raven Prince before this and seeing a glimpse of Maisie before in that! It gives her more depth and makes the story so much better.

Unfortunately this was a let down for me which is really sad because I loved the last two books and I thought that streak wasn't going to break. I think this book would have been better if it was in dual pov. I was bored. I started skimming at around 300 pages. Nothing happened until the last 70ish pages of the book and by then I simply didn't care. The only thing I liked was the friendship between Maisie and Podaxis. This one just sadly wasn't it for me.
