I'm finding I like the Shannara books more and more as I make my way through the series - this one is probably my favourite so far. For once it didn't feel like the story had long periods of lag, and I really enjoyed reading about Wren.

This 3rd entry in the Heritage of Shanara series was actually pretty good and I enjoyed it much more than the previous 2 books. This one entirely ignores the very tedious plot of the second novel,and instead focuses on Wren, a minor character from the previous books.
Wren is a relative of our other main characters, and has been charged with the task of bringing elves back to the land. This is a bit of a questing novel, and much of the novel is taken up with Wren traveling to a distant land, and hunting for the elves. I found the world building more interesting here than in the other novels, and liked many of the characters introduced here ( particularly Stresa and the Owl). Wren herself is a refreshing breath of fresh air, and I liked her resourcefulness.
All in all I hope this tone can be maintained as I begin the final novel of the set.

Es una maravilla.
Soy muy fan de la saga Shannara y este libro literalmente me lo acabé en un suspiro.
Este es el tercer libro de la tetralogía “Los herederos de Shannara” y como en los dos anteriores, en esta ocasión se centra en la historia de Wren y como afronta su destino (el primer libro de centra en Par y Coll y el segundo, en Walker Boh).
Terry Brooks es un maestro de las palabras y las descripciones. Es algo que admiro de él, pero lo que más me gusta, sin duda, es la facilidad con la que ha creado un mundo totalmente diferente, fantástico, poblado por varios seres y criaturas y una magia que juega un papel importante en la vida de todos y cada uno.
En este libro he visto muchísima acción, no ha habido ningún solo capítulo en el que algo no le sucediera a la protagonista o a los personajes que también la acompañan.
La verdad es que aún sigo sorprendiéndome gratamente de como es posible que aún viendo bastantes situaciones y sucesos en los anteriores libros, T.B. Aún continúe innovando y dejándome impactado con las cosas que ocurren en las páginas.
Creo que es el mejor libro de la tetralogía, sin duda, y espero que el desenlace esté a la altura que, viendo como han ido los otros libros, lo estará.
