James POV....Wow!!!
I'm obsessed with James and Penny! I loved the books from Penny's point of view, but getting a glimpse of James' mind in obsessed is truly awesome! I can't wait to read more! This book does end in a cliff hanger if you haven't read the series from Penny's POV.

good
Good and steamy but a little too much back and forth of the same thing. Looking forward to reading the next though to see what happens

I’m not quite sure why I started reading this novel. Was it a Facebook ad or a recommendation from a group? I can’t quite remember. Every time I get sucked in by one of the sponsored FB ads and read that book, I regret it. I’ve got to stop being influenced like this!
I powered through it but it was quite difficult to read. The sentences were all a few words each making it sound short and choppy. I even handed my kindle to my husband on a random page and asked him to read and tell me the FIRST thing that popped into his head. “THESE SENTENCES!”
———-
For example:
“I lifted it up. It was perfect. And my bad vibes toward the store disappeared. Hell, this store had everything. I caught my reflection in a small mirror. I was a disheveled mess from my run. It was hard to imagine I’d ever been in New York at all. The suits. The money. Honestly, I looked like I fit in hanging out in here. Not just the dollar store. But Newark. I smiled to myself and looked back down at the piggy bank. Or maybe I was losing my mind.”
———-
Aside from the writing style, the story was so incredibly lacking. These “deep dark secrets that would make her hate me” never really came to light in this book. Or maybe they did but they were so mundane that I didn’t super care.
I’ll also add, the spicy scenes were MAYBE one

Obsessed was all I thought it was going to be and MORE! Absolutely loved being inside James’ head. I liked seeing Penny through his eyes and reading his thoughts about their relationship. Of course the spice was there FULL FORCE and it wouldn’t be an Ivy book without a cliffhanger. I thought there was no way it was possible since I knew the story, but she did it! 10/10 recommended!
God, I hate duets..
I mean book was really interesting, reading all of it for his pow was unusual, but good
But I love to read something from the beginning to the end and okay that’s my fault I didn’t see it..

fast-paced
The MMC was the whiniest, most problematic narrator I’ve read in a while. I already prefer a dual POV, but by the fourth or fifth chapter I was begging to hear from LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE. Ugh.
dark
emotional
mysterious
tense
medium-paced
Started strong, got boring and repetitive, then turned so intense I couldn’t put it down—and ends on a cliffhanger?! Classic miscommunication and lies between the MMC and FMC had me wanting to scream, 'JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER!' But by the end, there’s a twist that made me go, 'Ohhh, so that’s why we’re not talking.' Frustrating yet addictive!
He certainly was obsessed and that obsession just wasn't for me. It didn't seem like he had much of a personality past liking the FMC. I was so bored, it was so predictable and I'm going to leave it there.
