Hear me out, this book is good. It’s got the historical and political context that I liked, but it was just so disturbing and made me angry (which was probably Orwell’s point but I digress). Animal Farm is one of those books you read once, unpack, and then probably won’t ever read again. It was short and to the point, which was nice, but it felt too predictable.

I enjoyed reading this book. The political commentary in terms of the Russian Revolution and current politics is chilling.

Whether or not someone knew Animal Farm was an allegory, it’s painfully easy to see the message that Orwell wanted to get across. I read this for my English class and all I can say is that I actually read it instead of looking at the sparknotes.....
