God this was so bad.
Problem #1 with this book is that it’s just poorly edited. There’s multiple errors throughout (please don’t put commas between noncoordinate adjectives! It’s „rickety back stairs“ not rickety, back stairs“!) and also the author has apparently never even been to a café. (What on earth is a cappuccino machine and why does a café that seems to serve lattes and tea exclusively have one?)
Also, I hated both of the characters as they don’t have any personality except being in love with each other.
The conflict is nonexistent, the sex scenes are cringy and to top everything off, this book is pretty much a rip-off of Gretchen Rue‘s „Steeped to Death“, minus everything that makes that book an interesting read. And it already wasn’t that great.

It's a nice read (or listen) in between heavier stuff if you like romance, as it's really cozy. But it's also very predictable and full of cliches. it's pretty much a Hallmark christmas movie set in the fall. Big city girl moves to a small town to escape the rat race and falls in love with the local farmer who is grumpy but loved by everyone in town (and wears flanel).

Perfect fall cozy read, really made me feel like i was in Dream Harbor and a part of their crew, it was a fun quick read. I loved that it wasn't packed with drama, and even when there was some conflict it felt realistic and resolved well, cannot wait to read the rest of the series, this was a great introduction to Lauren Gilmore's work!!

Autumnal, cosy vibes in book form 🍁🍂

Logan has abandonment issues and is still not over the way his ex left him and Jeanie wants to make a new life for herself in a new small town. Quite predictable but enjoyed it.

Feel like the mystery plotline could have been developed a bit further to make it feel a bit deeper.

I do love a small town romance and all the side characters that come with it ❤️ Logan’s nana is adorable ❤️

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I love books set in small towns in the fall. Perfect book to read in October or November. The fall festival and fall themed farmers market was so fun and atmospheric. I was a fan of the story up until the third act break up. The miscommunication was frustrating and the argument wasn’t realistic. If Jeanie and Logan would have talked to each other, I would have enjoyed the last third of the story more.
