The Pumpkin Spice Café had immaculate cozy fall vibes, it was sweet and made me giggle more than once. 🍂
While I am not a fan of the whole insta-love thing (which made the romance aspect of this book pretty meh for me), and it was a bit "cliché Hallmark movie", I did enjoy a few other things:
♥ the anxiety representation
♥ the townsfolk (I love a tight knit community)
♥ the found family
♥ the clairvoyant mayor (hilarious)
Overall, I liked their individual character growth journeys more than their romance, I could see myself in Jeanie a lot at times (anxious and spewing words like a waterfall without thinking or being able to stop herself, whoops).
I'll definitely give the rest of the books in this series a chance when I'm in need of a quick and easy read with a dash of spice.

This book feels like a 90s romcom. It has a few funny scenes It feels very instalovey and I didn't feel the chemistry between the MCs. I also couldn't connect to any character. The only character I loved was Nana. I want to be a cool and quirky grandma when I'm old.
The mystery was not really a mystery but predictable and i guessed the culprit from the get go.

Cute, fluffy Gilmore Girls small-town vibes with a touch of spice! There were times I saw somethings coming and I rolled my eyes (why i gave it a 4 star review). The characters were so funny and nice and I loved the spooky Halloween vibes I got during some of the book. Perfect cozy read for the fall/Halloween time! My heart went out to Logan when he got dumped at the previous years Christmas lighting ceremony (happened prior to the setting of the book) but in the end, Logan ended up with who he belonged with! Can’t wait to read the next two books to learn more about the secondary characters in this one!

This was a warm, cosy read, exactly what I needed to end my reading slump of a few weeks now.
The romance is very cliche, but in reality isn’t this why most of us read these sort of books…? to make up for how starved of true romance we really are….?
The autumnal setting made this a lovely October read. It had that comfort to it, that shows like: Gilmore girls, Virgin River and Firefly lane have.
I liked the main character Jeanie, she was loveable, messy and completely relatable. The way she rescued her new cat Casper, was very cute.
I liked Logan too, he had his baggage but underneath it all he was caring and kind with good intentions.
Overall, a quick and easy read, perfect for autumn vibes.
