The story was very enjoyable. I can see why it has been very popular for so many years. There is alot of suspence and it keeps you guessing as to who if anyone is going to get the treasure.

The blueprint for modern pirates stories so I appreciate it for that, some parts were surprisingly still quite funny and thoughtful for a book from the 1880s. If you are wanting to read, I cannot recommend the audiobook enough! Gildart Jackson's voice captures the essence of the fantastical adventure.
