**ARC Review**

Wow. One thing I'd say before starting is make sure that you read the trigger warnings well!

I'm not usually a dark romance girly, but decided to take the leap with this book and boy did it not disappoint! It was such a different experience to what I'm used to but it had me hooked and reading every page back to back.

Seraphine has clearly been through an insane amount - the average person probably couldn't survive all the things she has experienced and been through - her hot-headedness and lack of self control did get a tad annoying at times though. I found myself screaming at the book like 'CALM DOWN!'. But, of course, there's only one person who can tame her, our Leroi! And watching the progression in their dynamic and relationship over the course of the book was truly lovely.

5 ⭐️'s - I loved loved loved this book! She's a lolita assassin, he's an assassin who saves her from the assholes who held her captive. I love how he tries to tame her urges to kill and whilst it kinda works, he also allows her to embrace the crazy. It was very spicy

“I would raze the world to ashes if it meant keeping you safe.”

If Haunting Adeline and the Mindf*ck series had a baby, Taming Seraphine would be it.

Not only was the plot thrilling and easy to follow along with, it also strayed from being too predictable as some dark romances tend to be. The characters were very well written, and you can observe them coming together organically rather than feeling like a connection was forced or rushed. While many of the aspects of this story were dark, there were many funny lines and moments to give the reader a nice reprieve.

My only issues with this book are due to a few grammatical errors where words were misplaced or even sometimes missing from a sentence, which I just believe is an editing oversight. Otherwise, I would not change a single thing about the overall writing, plot, or characters.

I truly don’t understand how this book is not as hyped up as some other dark romances are. Leroi Montesano is the embodiment of what I wish Zade Meadows was in the second book of the Cat and Mouse Duet. He’s tall, dark and handsome with his own trauma and demons, which he puts to the side to protect and heal Seraphine of hers. And the plot twist? Chef’s kiss.

A perfect first book for 2024.

What.A.Book!
This is an honest ARC review
This book had so much going on that it kept my head spinning and I mean this in a glorious way! I loved every head spinning minute, there was intrigue, there was murder and the spice was delicious as was Leroi, he was the best MMC. DARK and slightly unhinged. Seraphine, what can I say about that spitfire. She was a tiny tornado of crazy but I loved her. She was dark, terrifying and just adorable when she wanted to be. Overall this was hands down one of my favorite books of the year!
