I loved this thrilling heist novel! Ross Quest was a fantastic lead with the smarts and skills to work around some truly harrowing thieving trials. Her arc was phenomenal as she built friendships after living an isolated life and realized that her mother didn't always (if ever) have her best interests at heart. While I did see the ending coming, I didn't anticipate all of it, and I'm curious where Ross's relationships will go in the next book and if she's ready for all that may be asked of her.

If you love the found family vibes of Six of Crows or the puzzle-solving of The Inheritance Games, I bet you'll get a kick out of this one!

Thank you to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster for the advance reader copy.

I was very intrigued by the premise of this story and am glad to say it delivered.
We follow Ross a young woman who is in a thief family and is trying to go live her life. On the way, there are some hijinks from the get go and she has to enter a competition to win a wish.
This is all in the first quarter of the book. It only gets better from there.

The book is full of schemes, plots, and of course things being stolen.
Overall a great book and I imagine a great start to a series.

Fed og spændene bog, men nogle ting giver ikke så god mening og sommetider bliver det for let

This was fun. Like a YA Ocean's 11.

Fast paced, easy to read if you just wanna sit down and just binge a book w/o any thoughts. Likeable characters. "Romance" / insta-attraction didn't make sense to me throughout most of the book. It gave off "he scratched his butt & made my heart flutter" vibes. The "teen lingo" was a bit too much at times #notslay. Logically on paper the stakes are high, but for some reason didn't feel high to me (but could be a personal problem). Fun read though & kept me interested through the entire book!
