This book got me back into reading after a semester-long slump, and I really appreciated the interesting side characters being revealed to have major roles.
The “make out so the guards leave us alone” scene in the middle of this book was SO juicy and very sweet.
I loved the way this book opened, I felt like the world was explained to me naturally and efficiently, and I got a good sense of the characters right away!
There were a few times when I wanted to take Ranka by the shoulders and say “babe… what are you doing, get it together” but she figured it out eventually.
Also the cover is so SO gorgeous, drew me in immediately. Let’s go lesbians let’s go!
