I've had this book for about 6 months and was reluctant to read it because of the negative reviews. I'm so glad I finally decided to read it. I loved the found family element of the story and really liked that the main character discovers that people who love you shouldn't cause you pain or manipulate you. Overall, for a debut, I thought it was fantastic

Parts of this book were hard to read, for both the intensity of the content and the the rawness of the characters' emotions, but it was a gripping and powerful story that I'm glad I read, with a warm ending that helped make up for the pain.

It seems like a cute story, but waay to YA for me to enjoy. The characters act too young for their described age, and it makes the story feel a little dull.
Nevertheless, from what I've read so far, I can't see any reason for the allegations mentioned in the review bombing that has happened her on Goodreads.

No rating. Just had to test this out, knowing it would probably not be for me.
