Too long for one book but the first half is too uninteresting (and somewhat sometimes badly written) to be split into two books

This book is a very very strong 5/5 for me. Likely even book of the year. The way this book made me feel is indescribable.

At times i was grinning like a mad man on the bus and other times i was silent screaming. Near the end i was even (lightly) punching my book.

Without getting into spoilers, this book had my attention and heart in a vice fucking grip. At times it broke it only to put ot back together to break it again. Absolutely delightful read.

This is one of those rare books I know I can reread. Hell I'm tempted to reread it as I'm typing this.

I cannot say I've struggled as much as Ranka has in life, but i have had my own struggles and hearing her learning and growing from it hurt and helped me.

I would also like to say thank you for the dedication which almost made me cry in the first 3 minutes of reading the book and the last bit of the gratitudes made me almost bawl on the bus.

I am so touched and I am gonna stop typing now because I'm just gonna ramble.

Good book. 5/5. Will read again.

The last third got super therapy-speak preachy and kinda ruined it for me even tho I'm a huge proponent of therapy and an abuse survivor myself. More that it takes you totally out of the world that was painstakingly built this whole time.

I need a Percy spin-off duology set before and after that book, centered on the Star Isles. Like. It could be so good !
And that short story with Gallen was just the perfect setup for it.
