I'm going to start by addressing any controversy surrounding this book and tell you personally that it is not true. So please please give this book a chance.

It was AMAZING! I was absolutely enthralled! The characters were so deeply written and complex. The way it dealt with coming to terms with and healing from emotional abuse and manipulation. It was phenomenal! The magic system was unique, the plot was intricate and well planned. The timing was incredible. This book has officially made it into my top 5 favorites of all time. Also it's sapphic! And illustrated! I will definitely be looking for more by Rebecca Mix in the future.

This book was a little hard to get into for me. The subtle romances where not my style. And I still don’t really understand what makes a witch a witch. It seems the only ones that can actually do anything with their powers are the blood-witches and the human with magic. So what is the difference between them?
I really liked the overall theme of the story. Love that causes pain in the name of love is not really love at all. I feel like this story will really resonate with a lot of people just based on that message alone.

This book was much more than I expected it to be! I really liked the whole concept of blood witch. The romance was so cute and very natural feeling. There interactions seemed so normal and cute. The plot got a little confusing to me but otherwise it was great.
