Anna first published this in Australia in 2018 and now it has made it to the states, thank goodness. Anna did the story and illustrations.
I love the artwork here, all done in watercolors. It's perfect for that blurry feeling I think of being underwater. I love how she is able to get the colors to look like they bleed like when it has too much water. The art perfectly compliments the poem that makes up this love story. She uses a few simple words to create lovely imagery.
The ocean loves the whales song. It fills the ocean and makes all the beautiful animals in it happy. The whale is happy others love his song, but he is lonely and looking for someone. He sings to find his other.
I simply adore this story and I think many people will enjoy it.

I think what most people want is to have that companion, that one to talk with, share time with, and just enjoy space with. This book captures that essence. It also shows the power of friendship and helping a friend. All of this in a beautiful, lyrical story with water-colored illustrations that flow across the pages.
