Very depressing and should not be read before looking TW if you need them because everything is described in disgusting details. Overall it didn't work for me, I was constantly confused with the characters names and it doesn't go very far from where it began, except for maybe less cocaine consumption.

i’m not too familiar with shakespeare’s henriad, but i like any chance to read a queer reimagined version

can’t say i’ve read a book containing so many unlikeable characters named henry LOL. the writing was really lovely though, which kept me reading

“I’m not recommending you read this,” said my book soulmate Hannah. “I’m just saying, you have to read this.”

She’s right, I did. And I can’t really recommend it either but you gotta read it to know. I’m not sure what to do with this. It was kind of grotesque and depressing as fuck. But I couldn’t stop reading it.

Not my cup of tea, really. The cast of characters weren’t particularly likable and there wasn’t a strong storyline to follow. The author does do a great job at building Hal’s world, however.

I just don’t care about unpleasant, drunken toffs.
