I was warned ahead of time that the treatment of the Fool was something to be wary of, and whilst the Six Duchies and Fitz play heavily into homophobic tendencies, it doesn't stop the Fool from being a well written character.
I feel Hobb has handled his queerness with gentleness and care, creating a critique on his perception and treatment which runs similarly to those that are Witted throughout this trilogy.

As always, a page turner and I'm both stoked and saddened to be officially halfway through the series.

Got so frustrated at Fitz making some decisions as if he was still a boy from the first trilogy, but nice to see some maturation/growth in how he rectified some of his poor decisions. I love the Fitz and the Fool 🥲
