I really enjoyed this book and its focus on the idea that "you're the only one in charge of your own happiness." The characters were relatable and supportive of one another, and although the story is fictitious much of the advice was very apt and applicable. It was a pretty easy and light read, and it made me smile in many places. I recommend it if you're looking for something that will bring a simple joy to your life in between your bigger and heavier reading material.

A fluffy, read-it-in-a-day, somewhat relatable self-help tome thinly veiled as a fictional story. It’s a basic reminder to be more empathetic, forge past walls you constructed yourself, and follow your heart’s path. Obviously the main character had quite a bit of fortunate luck so this isn’t really applicable to a lot of people, but it was still enjoyable to read.
