I haven’t read nonfiction in a while, and this just makes me want to change that. The writing was beautiful yet funny, and the author expertly weaves stories from his own life with explorations into hard-hitting queer discussions (Ducky from Pretty in Pink is a lesbian, popular t4t couples in movies, William Shatner’s wide range of talent, etc.). I also really enjoyed the “interludes” as they appeared; Each one felt like a fun break from the main themes of the book while somehow still tying back into those themes in the end.
