well fuck. now i just might transition.

the thing that i really enjoy about daniel ortberg's voice is that it's so deeply distinct and consistent? i may not be familar with many of his references but i enjoy how he uses them! and while i am in no way a person raised christian i particularly liked his facility with christian references, like i know the language of religion! it isn't my religion but there's something nice about reading a writer who doesn't seem to feel pressured to secularize their voice (though i expect this is perhaps a bit easier when you follow the dominant religion of your country)

in conclusion, this is very weird, very readable, and returned to me once more the wistful desire for the toast to be resurrected
