Oh, dear. I wish it were a duology, separating the book so that we could get more substance. I loved the aesthetics, and it is beautifully written and yet, something is missing. I want to feel the yearning more. I want more of all - the soft vibes, the lush feelings, the snarkiness of the courts- I want them all.

I didn’t even finish this one. Apart from the first 20 first pages, I was bored the whole time. I kept reading because I just wanted it to be over as soon as posible but really, I could not bring myself to continue.

The author has a beautiful writing style, but that doesn’t change the fact that that was just not enough for me to get hooked. It really pains me to dnf this book because it had so much potential but, oh well, life’s too short to finish books we’re not enjoying.

My written interview with the author can be found here. There's a question regarding SJM and ACOTAR. Tee-hee.
