A riff on the popular "Twinkle Twinkle" nursery song that sends a little girl reeling after her star friend through space. Some of the illustrations are a little awkward, like the somewhat lumpy-looking horse in its stable, but others are gorgeous -- the two-page spread of the little girl swinging off the rings of Saturn make the whole book.
Songtale for my Kindergarten classes--cute and with lots of extra verses. They loved the kiddo spinning around the rings of Saturn.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is a lullaby that is no stranger to picture book adaptations. This version of the traditional tale shows animals following the journey of the star as they move through the evening to prepare for bed. The illustrations bring a new charm to the story. It would be fun for a teacher to use this to have a discussion on bedtime routines, nocturnal animal behavior, or rhyme scheme.

This is a nice rendition of a classic song. I like how the artwork is incorporated into the lyrics and how you're almost forced to sing along with it, at least in your head.
Based on the classic children's song, this book adds verses where a little girl follows a star on a magic ride through the sky at night. She sees how the sun shines during the day, earth is one of many planets in the sky, and the stars shine down on earth during the night. Beautiful illustrations and rhyming text, but maybe a little too in-depth for my preschoolers. I may try using this one and just paper clipping a few pages together to shorten it.
This is one of those books that can be read to the middle one way, then turned upside down and read to the middle again the other way. In one story a young boy is taking his dog and his little wagon for a ride at bedtime and they end up in the sky following a star. In the other story a small alien and his robot are flying through the sky following a star. They eventually meet in the middle and the illustration of that open up to oversize fun. The illustrations are gorgeous but I'm still on the fence as to whether or not my preschoolers will get it.
